What a busy and exciting morning we’ve had!

Today, children from Jerusalem Class took part in a Handball Festival hosted by Pompey in the Community, in which they played friendly matches against 4 other schools from Portsmouth. Mrs Wahid accompanied the children and has been telling us how impressive the children were – “the effort they put in was phenomenal. The referees were talking about them”. She especially mentioned Yunus, who was given a medal for how well he played, but the entire team were brilliant and were given an award for fairness by the referees. Well done children!

Meanwhile, the rest of the school went to St Mary’s Church to see ‘Where There is Light’, a wonderful sound and light installation, sharing the voices and stories of sanctuary-seeking communities from across the UK.
